We will have Chào Cờ Đầu Năm (CCDN) this Sunday. Due to inclement weather we have been experiencing, our activity schedule was altered; we apologize for the 3 back to back big events. We respectfully request your cooperation to help us prepare for this CCDN event, not only to help our scouts get the maximum benefit and fun out of this event, but also to help us introduce our Troop 1279 to other Liên Đoàn.
Where: Garden Grove Park (next to Bolsa Grande High School)
9301 Westminster Blvd, Garden Grove
When: Sunday, February 24th, 8:30am-5:00pm
Cost: $2 per participating scout + $5 per person for lunch
Registration: please register online ASAP to help us plan properly. We also need the correct headcount for our scouts to pay the participating fee to Ban Tổ Chức.
What is CCDN?
For those parents who have not attended this event before, CCDN is an annual gathering/jamboree of all scouts from many Liên Đoàn HDVN from all over Orange County. This is a unique opportunity for our scouts as well as our Chi Lang family to meet up with other Vietnamese Scout Troops to play together in the spirit of scouting. Each LD will host 3 game booths and all the scouts will rotate through them using passports! This way our scouts will get visit all the participating Liên Đoàn areas.
Special performance by 1279 at CCDN:
Our Thiếu Nữ dance group from the Tet Event will perform their múa áo dài nón lá at the opening ceremony to the song Xuân Ca.
We hope to see many of our Chi Lang 1279 scouts and families there at CCDN!
